Through the medieval times of the stars
Or the 1960’s with hippies on lawns
In a place where you don\'t think from dusk to dawn
Where you lay you’re weak body down
And float away until you’re at peace
Yet in these dull days there\'s so much murder on the streets
And there\'s children who shout for food and a cure
Were these things always here before?
My mind is for boys
And yet my heart is for girls
And my body is a trash can for the world
In this world, is there real love?
In this world can you chase your dreams?
Or is it now just a fantasy, ruled by a screen?
So many people beg to be seen
In this life I live
No passion exists, nobody has anything to give
There\'s no free love
No one to see
Only flashing lights and empty streets
Were these things always here before?
In my lifetime I have only longed for the past
And I will never be content with this dull age
With a world so gray and bigger prices to pay
Everything that was life has gone away
Only materialism was saved…
In this lifetime I cry myself to sleep
And I wonder
I wonder
I wonder when we can finally be free
From the dull cages of life
The cold, dark cages of life
