Who made you the person you are today?
Thousands of growing minds urged to define
The inspiration for their sense of mind
As the role model question grows cliché.
Hundreds of these minds will choose their mothers
Who nurtured, and cared, and taught when vital.
But reflecting towards women we titled
As mothers in our past we find others.
One is the manager you loved at work
Who provided solace on those rough days.
Or the teacher who would comfort and stay
When you were in tears cause boys can be jerks.
The truth is not all mothers come from birth,
Some are found along the path of childhood.
So as we all pack up our youths for good,
Think of the women who showed us our worth.
These women may not be mothers by blood,
But to us became mothers nonetheless.
