For People

I am the first soldier to die on the battlefield.

I do it all for people.

Please, don\'t tell me that I don\'t care

No one knows me as well as myself.

All I do, I do for them.

  If you don\'t believe me

  Open your eyes for once

Sooner or later you will find out

   Action speaks for itself.

I gave all I had to people.

  And all I received was

  A silent thank you.

  Give them a finger

And they\'ll take your entire hand.

Now I know what my elders meant.

They stole my uniform, my shoes, my gun,

  I was not properly buried.

  Rotting in the noon sun

Not one of them mourned who I was.

  And you asked ME

If I am fond of having people around!?

In the end, in front of God\'s children

  I still remain

A harmless body on the battlefield.
