Dancing cheek to cheek
under the cosmic moonlit night,
holding one another so tight.
Romance is in the air
as the band plays away,
couples in tune do a sway.
The old man of the moon
smiles as he looks down
looking like a happy clown.
Happiness is shared by many
who are in love and on cloud nine,
joyous hearts feeling mighty fine.
The hour is close for the evening to end,
the music fades as the once bright moon,
is covered by a cloud all too soon.
