Touching the tip of the iceberg
Towing out to sea
The clashing waves around the edge
What frigid winds blow topside
While lurking underneath
No air to quench the lungs great thirst
The darkness so disquieting
Pitch black behemoth all above you
Down below the never-ending
Vast expanse. It’s waiting
To grasp you down and crush you
Ice water burns
The salt ripping down your throat
A scream extends for miles
All around and there’s no saving creature
The iceberg splits and one half
Pushes down
The jagged blade cuts deep into your flesh
And as you sink so lifelessly
The grave takes body, heart and soul
This is why the ocean roars
Full with anguish of the ones
Who never said goodbye
