Silence

If I held acid, would I pour it on your skin?

The knowledge I have, would burn you within

When I lied to hide it, was it a sin?

If so, then where do we begin?

You thought it was I, that tore us apart

but it was someone else, close to your heart

so as not to hurt you, silence was my start

It is with deepest love, I play the Judas part

I face my beheading on my knees

From death only a coward flees

The secret can be heard in the breeze

But I will suffer with the silence of cut trees
