In the year 2023, I came to find myself,
An individual beyond others\' definitions on the shelf.
Realizing I don\'t need anyone to survive,
Discovering some folks around me were good for nothing, not even a high-five.
This year taught me that God\'s the real deal,
With Him, I\'m good, no matter how I feel.
I was okay even when there wasn\'t anyone by my side,
God made sure I felt loved and full, like a high tide.
2023, the year that broke my shell,
Made me proud of me; oh, what a swell.
Realized I\'m pretty and capable of it all,
2023, you were everything, you made me stand tall.
Found out I\'m worth love, worth everything grand,
Gained some new friends, lost a few in the sand.
2023 was fantastic, I hope 2024 is just as sweet,
A year where my dreams and wishes would finally meet.
