The world I want to live in,
Where flowers bloom every spring,
Where there’s beauty and colour in everything.
Where I can have ice cream on summer days,
Where I can enjoy the warm summer rays.
So much world to appreciate,
But there’s an issue I must state:
Sea levels are rising,
The plants, they’re crying
Humans are lying
Mother earth is dying.
This is my world
It’s not the world I need,
It isn’t that hard to just do a good deed.
How long does it take to just plant a tree?
One little habit to keep our soul free,
Do you remember when our world was green?
Do you remember all the beautiful things you’ve seen?
Half a world gone, to fulfill human dreams,
How can one sleep with so much greed?
But I believe we can bring it back,
As a sustainable life, is one we can’t lack.
Because this is the world I live in,
And every word is true,
Despite the pain and illness,
Oh earth,
I love you.
