The Mind of Her

To: Doggerel Dave.

She is tired, she’s upset, she’s human.

But she is not seen as a human, she is seen as an object.

She is scared to go out because people aren’t careful with her like they are with others.

People talk down to her, they treat her like dirt.

“If you want to be seen as a person, you must first view yourself as a person”

“Engage with people like you\'re a human and they will treat you like one”

But every time she shows emotion like a human; she is called a b*tch.

She is called that by people who have never been in her position, never been in her mind.

She receives ‘advice’ from people who could never understand.

They say not everyone is like that, but that is not her experience.

People need to learn not to speak about something they’ve never gone through as if they-

-know what they are talking about.

“They aren’t all the same” “not all people” “You’re being dramatic”

But the people who tell her this aren’t just ‘people’, the people who tell her this are men.

And ‘she’ does not represent one person, ‘she’ represents every woman.

They say it’s not all men, but it’s most of them, because it is all women.
