This is a rose to Las Vegas,
A place where I used to lay my head;
For I am no longer down,
For I have escaped
Wicked eyes see me
Yet they can no longer reach me,
I had a dream I died there once
But my past does not faze me
And I often wonder
If I had stayed,
Would I still be alive?
For these batty birds,
I hear them screaming
Behold the ending of my demise
Troubled roses do not fall, they end up persevering
For all the houses
That I have passed,
Are they not still in ruins?
I have died and come back to reality
For Las Vegas is a dump...
And to Tim, my burning love,
Behold our steady fate--
For I have died for you many times.
Dear Tim,
I have died for you many times...
Have you ever once died for me?
I shall take a rose
And put it on your grave
For later
Human stars, they don\'t align
Yet they touch each other beautifully
I often wonder
If you can hear me.
Oh Tim, dear Tim
These plastic flowers don\'t stick
Whatever shall I do
To please you?
Human stars, they do die
Astray...
Oh Tim, dear Tim
Can you hear me?
For this insane asylum
Has fallen,
Where is the desperate rose?
