A ten-year-old Saxon Weiss
An age when things begin to happen
Inspiration seedlings start to grow
Paths of the heart are starting
Journeys through life
Sure to bring a smile
Giving it all you’ve got
Down each and every mile
A boy so fortunate
To play the guitar
As easy as breathing
The evolution of a star
What I wouldn’t have given
For the talent in that young boy
If that could’ve been me
At his age with a new guitar toy
Growing up with music
I learned to like
From the Beatles to Sinatra
Two extremes for a little tyke
Love, the usual in music
Romance had all ears listening
Pulled in both directions
But for one my heart was glistening
Music had caught my ears
But more so, love caught my heart
Combining the two
Would’ve completed my art
Putting music to my words
For Sharon’s heart to hear
Back in the day
When she was here
