Every year was like a night at the circus.
Filling the void, who knew it\'d curse us.
It was bright, colourful, shiny, and fun,
But then you start to lose everyone
The circus was now in black and white.
The ones that left still expect us to fight.
Standing behind the curtains in a jittery mess
Who can ignore? For they knew best
The acts go on but they\'re not quite right.
The days pass okay but there’s not much light.
The circus is grey, it seems almost numb,
Who knew how soon to nature you would succumb?
We used to party way into the night,
And I hated admitting that you were right.
Yet We continue to push that boulder up that cliff,
With friends, drugs and a drink that\'s stiff.
