A rhetoric to captivate your soul.
Threatening to make your struggle harder.
Intimidate, separate,....... Control.
A “ Lady God” might bring us all together?
Teach us to be gentle and unite?
Ignore each other for no apparent reason.
Cause the guys to drink and swear and fight.
Suddenly we’ll all become offended.
These questions, they disturb us at our core.
Money is the only true religion.
The reason that they send our sons to war.
Poverty is used to change our mindset
To taint our puzzled picture of the world.
The promised land is strewn with dying children.
Better, if we left it to “ The girl?”
I’m certain that my sins will be forgiven.
Just before I take my final breath.
Will I reach the land of milk and honey?
Or taste the bitter irony of death?
