I\'ve never much cared for organized religion,
but somewhere in the sheets of stained glass
I saw God in the shape of sunlight.
And I realized He isn\'t permanent,
but neither are we.
So show me a permanent state of self,
and I\'ll take you to the edge of Heaven on a rainy day.
But, until then I\'ll stare
at the halos around streetlamps and headlights
that whispers the name of my Savior
with the same quiet insignificance
as unending change.
