Don\'t fear the dark
painting end of day
from the womb a birthmark
night kneeling to pray
Its unrolling blanket warms
soft cradle of the soul
safe from outside storms
a tranquil shoal
Floating under celestial seas so black
thick darkness be my shoulder
tote me in your sack
light ashes that smoulder
Let darkness carry you away
enfold you to its breast
here family shadows lay
in their peace rest
Broken, torn, bent
as under scorching suns you roam
day of life spent
dark will guide you home
