By order of Angels of love
I read the words written
On a fast track to long ago
A boy with me was love smitten
As I read on
It sounds so familiar
His memories reflect those of my own
So unlikely similar
For I once lived on the East Coast
In a small town such as he
Oh, dear God in Heaven
How can this be?
Could this really be him?
The boy I sadly left behind
That the Angels of love
Have led me to find
He told me he’d love me forever
So many years since I left
I never imagined his heart
So poetically deft
Why would he remember me
Instead of moving on
Must be a million other girls
For him would be the one
It doesn’t make sense
I thought he’d forget me long ago
But the words I now read
A different story shows
So sweet the letter he wrote to me
Confessing his love so true
We were only kids
Two young kids in school
Dare I to realize
To him, the one I left without good-bye
That he would still after all this time
Still love me, I can’t imagine why
But he did confess his heart so true
So very long ago
I believe he’s a man of his word
By way of his words that show
