Forrest

Forget That

Lost in the reflection

Rippling like water waves

I\'m pulled back in

when floorboards bite

at my feet and take

me asunder

Gnaw my bones clean

makes the wind chime

that plays minor keys

No one hears the cry

of regret it echoes

from inside a bubble

A house near a cornfield

Locker room and mirror

Something unsaid

And you can meet me

in diners and draining

showers then a smell

But never visual so

the reflection won\'t spook

Flare the scars on

my legs
