Beast of Alzheimer\'s
Of all the things I \'ve lost between us
I miss your mind the most
Send me in it\'s direction
no man has found it\' s mould
May I join you on your journeys
as sometimes great once it seems
Maybe then I \'d understand
Some days I swear I cannot accept
this desease that controls your head
I swear I never know what to do
are there even space for two
Once loved but now not identified
your daughter, your best friend
I pray my presence not denied
but each day this gaurenteed
While casually moving onwards
momentarily realizing the truth
Your failing mind unwillingly
forgot what it \' should do
Tears uncontainably shed
no prouder woman I\'ve ever met
as again alzheimer\'s won the race
