From the depths of my heart
I hear a voice coming through
A voice of reason
In memory of you
I know your illness
Was taking you from me
Though I protested with the deepest of love
It’s all part of life now I see
God couldn’t save you
But then again, I know
He was saving you
From the illness undertow
With his open arms
God welcomed you home
Where all your pain was gone
And now with wife of Joan
Together again
Like we all knew you would be
Where we’ll all be when our time comes
Your Daughter and Son, my sister and me
I know it’s not about
Us losing you
But more of you finding peace
And knowing we’ll always love you too
If we could choose
Who to care best for you
We’d ask God to bring you home
For we want the very best for you
Rest assured Mom and Dad
We’ll see you again
When our time comes
We’ll smile for you both until then
