Virility

Virility

Have men fallen from grace

to lie flat on their face?

Has feminism subjugated

our inherant masculinity?

To be a lad, a man can be

regarded as being sad.

Yet I stand upright

ready to fight for what is

my very birth right.

I am a man who enjoys

the company of other men.

A fellowship of brothers

with their ribald humour

and innuendos.

Some are deeply masculine

and these I wish to emulate.

Men with strong features

beards and the like.

Those who exhibit the

best of our gender.

I enjoy the variety

and also the gaiety.

I observe their mannerisms

and they way they dress.

Together men behave

more naturally and less

inhibited.

Some are strikingly handsome

whilst others are demure.

Together we form a

sort of tribe,

a belonging,

a need for each other.

This gladdens my heart

and overwhelms my soul.

It restores my belief in my

self worth and self esteem.

I am proud to a member

of this male species.
