You’re always there
Within the reach of my mind
And even closer in my heart
Of most treasured confines
We didn’t always see eye to eye
But life isn’t always as expected
Eventually it all works out
As in due time on it is reflected
As I grew older
I left behind my immature ways
Learning to be an adult
Living with your pride today
While growing up
Not always appreciating the life I had
These days are much different
As I pay tribute to Mom and Dad
