Are We Alone?

I’ve been hearing about them

Since the days of my youth

But the government says it

Could not be farther from the truth

There’s no such thing as

“Little Green Men”

But ask Travis Walton

For five days where he’s been?

UFOs and UAPs

Lights up in the sky

As yet, I’ve never seen one

But with eyes wide open I try

Our universe over thirteen billion years old

Bigger than anything else known

Trillions of stars with planets

Life can’t be just on our own

Our own planet Earth

Only four billion years old

Stands to reason

The new kids on the block so bold

The odds of us being all there is

Pretty damn small in comparison

Believers growing day by day

A dwindling bipartisan

The government running out of excuses

Now admit they don’t know what they are

The big question of “Are we alone?”

The answer is closer than the stars

Sooner or later

We’ll know for sure

The identity of our neighbors

So distant and obscure

Maybe we’ll have new friends

Stop in and sit awhile

What’s new in the cosmos?

Where all aliens learn to smile
