I can write a foul ballad.
Sing an ode to the corruption of kings.
I can play the sweetest melody,
for the bitterest of things.
Hear me chant a dirge for the living,
while plucking the strings of a lyre.
Partake in our cacophony,
come and gather here.
So that I may ask,
Would a chorus move you?
is there cadence in your heart,
have you a clue?
If it sings a strong aria,
if it plays a mournful hymn,
if it beats with heavy rythm,
or recites a requiem?
Because,
There are these things we all bear;
Scores upon our hearts.
But we don the decorative masks at dawn
and the masquerade starts.
Now we dance a minuet,
while playing a mesto lament.
At least we\'ll never be alone
in our musical dissent.
