Calia is home and can’t stop thinking of Cade. He seemed awfully familiar to her; but can’t place his face. Before today she had never met him before. “I must be confused;” or maybe there’s something more. Cade thought her parents seemed familiar to him. She’s hopeful that she will see him again. Calia has been on her own since both her parents died. She still goes to church and sometimes to God she cries. Calia believes in God deeply. In her mind she knows he has a special plan that’s made for her completely. Never has she been in love before. She’s waited for the right one to come along. Mom and Pop had the greatest love of all. She wants what they had. She doesn’t want to just fall. It wasn’t always easy. They had disagreements and that was okay. They always managed to work it out at the end of the day. Church for Calia is her safe place. She wonders about her childhood playmate. “I can’t remember his face or his name.” But he had eyes similar to Cade’s. “Cade?” She says out loud to herself. “Could it be?” “God has sent you back to me?” Calia remembers the fun they would have. Never understanding why one day he was gone; just made her sad. They were prayer partners and had good times together. She was sure her friend would stay forever. Calia remembers! And what comes next? Try to take a lucky guess!
