After many phone calls, Diella is at a loss for words. She’s uncertain who can help her with what she now sees as a curse. “I shouldn’t think like this.” She tells herself; “I know someone out there must be willing to help.” She steps out onto her porch and sits down on the swing. She takes a look at her river and reminds herself of the joy it brings. Her land is beautiful! She has planted many flowers. She would love to just stay right here for a few more hours. God is always with her and what a true friend He is. He accepts her as she is flaws and all; the beauty He brings. Across her land is a home that sits back away from the road. She often wonders who lives there? If anyone is ever home. As she gets up she notices the shape of a man; she wonders who he is? Why he’s on her land? “Excuse me,” she says; can I help you? “My name is Declan.” “I live right across from here.” “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to cause you fear.” “But about two weeks ago this place was run down.” “Did you do all this yourself?” “If so, how?” “Diella is my name Declan.” “I had the local landscaper help me.” “What can I do for you?” “Is there something you need!” Declan says; “I use to know grandma and grandpa years ago.” “I’m just making sure no one thinks this place is abandoned you know!” “Did you ever go to the Caboose?” She asks; “almost daily Diella; they were good people.” “I wish it last.” Diella wonders if Declan can help her bring it back to life.
