We sat in the Chapel,
Friends all around.
We were asked to light a candle,
Light a candle of delight,
Or of sorrow,
Or not light a candle at all
It was entirely up to us.
I could not refuse
And lit a candle,
Spoke of my absolute delight,
Delight of Mary,
Mary and I.
We had found each other
And together we go forward
Into a life together
Knowing that Our God
Is looking down on us
And smiling at our joy
Which will be with us,
With us to eternity.
