I don\'t want to stay awake,
So let me sleep as I did my best.
though bed hard as rock
It\'s where my worries are laid to rest.
So don\'t wake me up
When the sun smirks at dawn,
For it\'s then that a visitor,
A freak, intrudes upon.
As I lay down to sleep,
The freak won\'t have its sway.
It can\'t poison my brain,
Nor drive a nail today.
No longer will I worry
About the burdens that I hold,
Like a hollow tree within,
Roots decayed by whispers cold.
Indeed, a hollow tree,
With leaves neither green nor brown,
Pushed by the wind\'s whim,
Ever forced to bow down.
