My own worst enemy is my mind
Take it out for a few days, so I can have a good time.
Stuck in my head - making my bed for all the wrongs that I\'ve done.
Sharpen the blade, the bed has been made as I stare down the barrel of a gun.
I used to run into the world head first ready for battle.
This life has taken a toll on my poor dear old soul and left me rattled.
Which was is up, anything now to protect my heart.
Shelter the storm, gone on long past the norm, can\'t prepare my mind for this restart.
So I hold on real tight, crying well into the night hoping to someday see the light.
