I had a brief chat
With a praying mantis
Who told me how he escaped
From Atlantis
He said a snake
Taught him how to surf
So he wouldn\'t ever get hurt
When I bowed my head,
Clasped my hands
And began to give sincere thanks
For this unexpected gift
The mantis said
