They roamed the earth but we settled in
We built houses on their meadows
Renamed their homes federal
Their land is our land
They spread their love with the grass
We covered the sky in gas
They gave respect to the rocks
We built large walls and sold stocks
Fishing for what they need
We hunted the river with greed
Suffocated their rights
Until they couldn’t fight
We became fools
Putting generations in schools
Buried their culture along with their bones
Covered their past in concrete stone
Although we were inhumane
Washed their brains
Sent their hope down the drain
The Indigenous stayed strong
Now we attend school
In an attempt to fix what we did wrong
It\'s time to understand
Their land is their land
