My View

That view I see vastly ahead of me,

in the distance an aged canyon of history.

That\'s the time before my love in my days.

Those memories are silent with nothing to say.

There is no way up to review its view.

This valley ahead I remain with you.

Your expanse is a comforting darkened thought,

I will forever be waiting at this spot.

Watching as the ridge floods your land.

Watching as my love kills me by hand.

Watching as my reflection enjoys your view.

Watching as I walk that lonely path to you.

This valley cleverly hides my graves,

masking its bottom with rippling waves.

Distorting the image left looking ahead.

Diluting the blood from the dagger I bled.

That view I see vastly ahead of me,

without your emptiness, where would I be?

In a land of color and noises so loud?

Perhaps on a silver lined make believe cloud.

There will be no accents added to you.

Why would I do that damage to my view?

Your darkness shows me my way at night.

I will never, in any way, distort my sight.

This valley is vast and so memory filled,

it\'s where all of those lives are of mine she killed.

You\'re the only place my love comes to me,

you will forever be the view I see.
