MY GENDER

Society is wired,
For men\'s glory,
And women go through gory,
This, a long aged tradition.

Many a woman
Has suffered humiliation,
Some, cultural intimidation,
For the gender,
She represents.

Today,
The world is enlightened,
African seems not to embrace,
The wind of change.

Patriarchy, their tool
of oppression,
Gender in boxers and trousers,
Has traumatized many skirts,
Some call it culture.

Feminine voices cry
Not for equality,
But for equal treatment,
Breasts are humans
Not objects of gratification.

Pen will forever bleed,
To set the record straight,
Skirts are not toys,
But humans from whom,
Many lives are birthed.
