THE BRIDE\'S DILEMMA

We courted for three years,
Yes! We were into each other
Like Romeo and Juliet,
He changed the narrative.

Before then,
I thought all trousers were the same,
For many have sucked my nipples;
Few poured libations,
in my hidden temple.

I have waited for ages,
Often with painful rages;
Memories of heartbreaks hurt,
Even if it heals, the scars lives.

Fortunately I met him,
He was different from others,
He was real, nice, loving
And understanding.

Two years of courtship
Was like a journey to Dubai,
Everything seems perfect,
Indeed love is golden!

The D-day came,
Here am I in my wedding gown,
Few hours to say I do,
Rumour filtered from mouths to ears.

My hubby to-be
Has a child out of wedlock,
From a baby mama,
Who has come to put asunder.

Should I take the risk and wed him
Or call it off?
But why haven\'t he told me all these while?
Mazi has broken my soul,
What should I do?
