A NEW NIGERIA 🇳🇬

Arise oh youths!
And stand up,
To the gimmicks and gambits
of the political lords;
A hope for New Nigeria!

Slavery runs in our veins
Our fingers and mouths
keep enslaving us,
Upon our heads,
Their breakfast, lunch and dinner
are served.

Religion, ethnicity, and nzuzu
divide us,
Suffering and smiling
the regalia of our shame.

Unity a force of change
But;
The shackles of mental slavery
hang and haunt our lives,
There\'s power in unity.

The power lies in our thumbs,
Legs must stand,
To unseat the enemies
of our tomorrow.

If we don\'t do this today;
Posterity will judge our stupidity,
Many graves will be desecrated
with faeces as libation.

Oh Nigerians!
When will we get it right?
The grey heads are feasting
on our future;
And there we lay like beggers
before their feet.

We keep humming songs,
To glorify their iberiberism,
While we scout and struggle
for bones like dogs.

They have come again
like pharaohs of old,
Promising to lighten our sufferings,
With chains in their hands.

Only Joshua will lead us;
Though without shishi,
We must be OBidient,
There is hope at the end of the tunnel,
You can\'t eat your cake and have it.
