The stars,
The stars above,
Too wept in pity.
Tears streaking the skies.
The rains,
They come and go,
Like a guest,
Fleeting as the clouds.
This happiness too,
A guest in my life,
Passing through,
A momentary light.
The moon knows,
The brightest stars,
Were most lost of them all.
In the meadows of the morning,
Where the lilies gently sway,
There’s a whisper in the willows,
Of a soul that’s gone astray.
Moonlight kissed the teardrop’s fall,
Yet the dawn would bring no solace,
To the one who lost it all.
And past the valleys of heartache,
In the shade of tranquility,
There lies a sea,
Its waves,
Singing ballads of the lost.
