Another battle lost,
Another day had burned,
Another story came to an end,
With nothing to show in return.
Dreading the Sun in the morning,
Waiting for the dark of the night,
She is my true companion,
My refuge from the strife.
Night comes in all her glory;
Street lamps light the path;
Someone walks by with a long shadow;
Dogs bark somewhere in the dark.
Slowly she crawls over my senses,
Slowly she makes me feel numb,
The day seems like a distant horizon,
A horizon I didn\'t touch.
Frozen in the moment,
Craving for the warmth of life,
My eyes grow heavy with sleep,
A gentle breeze whispered a lullaby.
A strident voice rises inside of me;
Chanting over and over,
\"Let\'s vow to fight tomorrow
We shall torment the tormentor\".
