PAINFUL REST

On a call to serve a nation,
Stole her youthful prime,
On her way to Ogun camp,
She was allegedly abducted.

Few days in the lions den,
Was like a million years in hell,
She was sexually celebrated,
Turn by turn rods worshipped
in her shrine.

Tears dripped like rainfall,
She cried out for help,
Her voice echoes in the valley,
Her eyes gazing up to heaven.

Painful death visited her soul,
Her body parts were parted with,
Her nkiruka was found missing,
The two soft breasts;
the bleeding points.

Will her soul ever rest in peace?
Ekwensu has birthed many disciples,
Could this be the highway heroes
Or some religious wolves?
