Gone, but not forgotten
The memories of a lifetime
Take the good with the bad
Every nickel and dime
From birth to deathbed
Our memories so clear
Until the onslaught of Dementia
Take the ones so dear
But while we had them
A joy to behold
They bring us smiles
Even tears of gold
Count your lucky stars
For love was bestowed upon you
As you look back
On those memories too
From rainclouds to sunshine
Always a memory there
I think you’ll agree
That smile a pleasure to wear
After all that’s said and done
And we’ve lived our life’s story
Let’s be thankful for
All that’s left are the memories
