(11th poem)
That Night’s Dream
“Trinkets”
insurance cancelled and phone disconnected
paid all the memberships and bills detected
your books donated; clothes given away
gathered your jewelry for your sisters say
finished all the tasks you had assigned
filed all the paperwork I could find
informed all your friends on your list
everyone said you will be dearly missed
boxed your notepads and hand drawn pics
kept the ornaments with our argument nicks
the paintings from our vacations still hang
combining all the videos when you sang
organizing items into separate strips
train and plane tickets from our trips
worldly trinkets you personally chose
I’m protecting and cherishing those
