The Beat
This stop meant for the jet lag we both felt,
before heading south where we would melt.
Loved all the conversation we stopped to make.
Together we took in all we could while awake.
Into the old town of Bern Switzerland,
To Zoe restaurant like we had planned.
The meal was worth its pricey price.
Its atmosphere was peacefully nice.
As we walked the streets the sounds rang,
the locals those foreign songs they sang.
Adding your own words to the local beat,
inserting our love just by moving our feet.
Being apart for months out of each other\'s view,
there was an amazing feeling there with you.
I captured the look you gave me my beautiful wife,
when I expressed to you that you’re my entire life.
Saint-Tropez
Down to Frances southern tip,
to Saint-Tropez for that 2-day trip.
Pumpelonne beach what a beautiful view,
walking up and down around it with you.
The streets clean and bustling with a crowd,
the waves hitting the rocks fierce and loud.
The sunsets and sunrises with you my love,
it felt like I was with the most beautiful dove.
The sun shined on us for both amazing days.
The loving words we had for each other to say.
Those moments will never be forgotten by me,
every time I close my eyes, you are all I see.
The parts of this trip I will remember forever,
are the smiles and laughter we shared together,
and the meals on terraces and by the oceans shore.
This trip we took, enthused me to love you more.
