~. The Old Timer .~

Came to my home in his old pickup truck,

said he did odd jobs to make a quick buck.

He said he\'d prune my shrubs and trim my tree

and  do a good job this he\'d guarantee.

```
He had white hair and his beard was all gray.
But he finished right quick with no delay.
For conversation when done with his task.
I had a question I thought I would ask.
```

What is your secret for being so spry?

Old Father Time seems to have passed you by.

He toked on his smoke and said casually,

today\'s my birthday I\'ll be ninety three.

```
Keep close to your fam\'ly and friends my son.
Never quit working till your job is done.
You can\'t ever beat Father Time I find,
just enjoy your life and pay him no mind.
```

He took one last drag on his cigarette;

I said thanks old timer, I\'m glad we met!

He said he\'d be back to visit one day,

then got in his truck and went on his way.

```
Good bye old timer, great job on that tree!
And thanks for the wisdom you shared with me~
