Consoling Comforts

Tuen: Contemplation

(\'When all they mercies, O my God\')

Matthew 11 v.28-30

******

Come unto me, Jesus did say

If labouring night or day

And if you laden heavily

In me your rest shall be

Take my yoke on you, of me learn

Not to your own ways turn

For I am meek, lowly in heart

Will meet your needs, every part

So rest unto your souls shall be

For my yoke easy, see

And my burden light to up take

Bear such for my name\'s sake

Thus if yoke does seem difficult

If heavy burden halt* (*hindering, stopping you)

Your progress, it is not from me

I the Son set you free

Comfort I bring, not grievous task

Hearing prayers that you ask

Learn of me here, I will you guide

You, with, [and] in you reside
