PAINFUL TRANSITION II

Just like a dream,
It became a reality,
Why leave too early?
Leaving your son and daughters.

The news of your deep sleep
Travels like wildfire,
Many skirts and trousers
Wail in shock and surprise
At FUTH Wukari.

Wukari and St. Mary Cathedral
Are in ashes,
Mourning rains on many roofs,
Her adopted sons and daughters grieve.

Oh sugar and low blood pressure!
The vehicle of her home going,
Cheerfulness and kindness her garments,
Mothering children and adults.

She has gone home to rest,
Away from the troubles of the world,
This a road for all mortals,
Death, the vehicle of our transitions.

One by one we take a bow,
We are living to die, and dying to live,
Only death humbles humanity,
Glory or gory, a personal decision.
