Yassin Tamam

you could\'ve been the one

to start from the early beginnings.
i had a room where the walls were all spining.
barely resting for a few days.
it\'s like those games of arcade.
a new everlasting state of hurt.
with patience always coming off short.
won\'t add much to the empty shelves.
where they had their trophies; i had none.
i gambled my way even to school.
and if the rumors were all true.
does it justify what did you do?
you saw nothing bad from me for even once.
except for showing signs that maybe i am a fool.
but even if it\'s true, it means i cannot be with you?
my cards told me that you found the one.
two filled cups with the knight of pentacles.
and the page of swords.
under a red lion that roars.
i asked if you\'re living a beautiful fantasy.
and it showed me all the things you wanted to have or be.
even if it\'s not me, i beamed with glee.
cause something that you may not know.
i am a centaur riding fields with a bow.
and the purest of all hearts.
even with the ugliest starts.
i only hoped if it could\'ve been true.
to find a lover filling up every room.

of my ramshackled heart, that dulled even more.
and even if i can have none.
i climb happily chilling on a roof.
without thinking to jump.
and forgetting that i lost someone

that could\'ve been the one.
