Cheeky Missy
Don\'t Ask Because She Sez I\'m Showing Off .....\"...By Any Other Name--\"
\"If the shoe fits, wear it\" was NOT my intention, but here you go. L5 was my intention.
Don\'t Ask Because She Sez I\'m Showing Off
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMDCCCLXXX)
How silver droplets hang, poised to avail
In sweet effect from this old railing, hence
Likeas a morsel for the poet\'s sense
Of sheer perfection as rain trickles, frail
Yet certain, through moist hours white mists prevail
Anon in, girding aught we knew fr\'intents
With that mystique whose romance filters thence
Twixt seasons like a balm the soul calls bail.
Oh! I could hug me now for sich treats, poor
As that behaviour, yet the troubles through
These half indulgent hours forbid as t\'were
Such joys til how I wrestle. Come, the view
Begs for my pensive watch as all\'d bestir
To take me off to highr plains as it\'d woo.

\"...would NOT smell as sweet--\" I allus knew I was a weed.
\"...By Any Other Name--\"
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMDCCCLXXXII)
Oh, how I wanted Shakespeare\'s lines t\'avail
Enroute to werk, frae Jul\'et\'s speech to thence
His sonnets, how the lies which prosper hence
Don\'t have a leg to stand on. They\'ll prevail
For now, but not forever. Puddles trail
Across the blacktop where lunch makes fr\'intents
Its plans, their silver mien in sheer suspense
Without an eye for yonder, as I fail.
A cup of steamy soup would be grand, poor
As packing cold pulled pork for lunch. I do
Not know when I was last chilled as it were,
But I am freezing now. Oh me! where to?
Don raincoat and eat all my dindin. Stir
Hope in Thee, LORD, alone. Crack jokes anew.
