Cheeky Missy
Go Figure
[There are NO notes over THIS, ergo I\'ve not much better a guess than you, dear reader.]
Lo, After Nightmares and \'Spite Crippling Pain
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMCDXCII)
Pink mingled with soft peach, \'non sifting thence
Through fast-closed blinds \'til thunder\'s rumbling hail
Demur, yields up to rain whose sweet detail
And tender solace to my soul beg whence,
Whileas it draws me from beyond the sense
Of now to is\'t etern\'ty? as\'t avail.
Oh give me Thy peace, LORD, to rule, the veil
Twixt now and Thee thin, oh Thou my defense.
How Autumn\'s yellow leaves half wink in tour
To me across the rolling valley through
These half-oped blinds, \'non whisp\'ring Death astir
Now tis the last week of September, blue
Heav\'ns seeming faded, til joy waxes poor,
Or else, with glitt\'ring eyes haunts all, as\'t woo.

I don\'t know how to excuse this, it\'s just...what is?
One Year \'Go I Was Just As Mis\'rable
(sonnet #MMMMMMMMDCCCLXXXIV)
What is September that I\'m screwed sans bail
Each year is it? Wherefore?! Have I defense?
How sunny blue heav\'ns warmly bathe these hence
Foresworn green vistas of last season, frail
Chill why folk now wear hoodies as leaves trail
Our paths to yonder with a haunting sense
The game\'s nigh over ere we thought pretense
Was real. Red winks covertly, like t\'avail.
What gives, that smiles fade ere I\'ve worn as t\'were
Their cheery theme five seconds? what weighs through
Long hours upon me til I canna stir
Aught joy, \'cept it is poor? Watch others do
Up pizza parties, laughing. Nor demure
Nor happy, what am I to know is true?
