Winds

Listen to the winds when they go by,

listen to their silence quietly cry.

Strong with speed as they whip past,

never ending they’re forced too always last.

Around the globe a constant flow,

whispering of what they learnt, they know.

Over the oceans and across the lands,

carrying the deserts particle sands,

across the expanse of this tiny earth,

only the winds knowing their worth.

Listen to the winds quietly speak,

they will tell you of the highest peaks,

of the lowest valleys and thickest trees,

of all the damage they pass, they see.

Follow the winds to what they reveal,

understand how lonely they feel.

Misunderstood, unheard, and ignored,

travelling the globe for no reward.
