I don’t understand how anyone could think
That violence and war are the answers to problems
When all violence brings is even more violence
As well as pain, loss and the need for revenge
Instead of killing and murdering soldiers
Who give their lives for an unjust cause
Instead of letting our country die
And be lost to something we shouldn’t support
We should promote understanding
So that everyone can know
That communication is better than fighting for glory
And we must think rationally before wasting lives
War should never be the last resort
When we have mouths and voices
We can speak and negotiate our views
And compromise when we oppose
When two states start to fight
Let us try to calm the raging storm
Forget the echoes of terrible anger
And try to right the wrong
Understand that violence is chaos
It wreaks havoc on our planet
Is that what is wanted, to destroy and ruin?
And to leave burning scars that time can’t heal?
War is something that dirties everything
That spreads evil and distributes fear
Why would we want this?
Do we want fear in our world?
As the strongest mind once said
Fear leads to anger, which leads to hate
And hate leads to suffering
Do we want our people to suffer?
Just because you disagree
Or you crave more land and power
Doesn’t mean you can start a war
Start killing, ruining lives, destroying the planet
As before you come to this conclusion
Remember that talking and correspondence are key
Before you make such a big decision
As violence is never the answer
