Covid’s left a little bit of a fog – I’ve run out of inspiration. So here to fill in time is an oldie exhumed from the memory of a wasted yoof:
The biological urge of the camel is stranger than anyone thinks,
For when he returns from the desert, he makes an attempt on the sphynx.
But the sphynx’s essential equipment is buried far ‘neath the Nile,
Which might account for the hump on the camel and the sphynx’s inscrutable smile.
