Ants

Ants, ants watch them prance across the lawn and over the plants
They walk in lines, climb the vines and dig deep maze like mines
Some harvest the grain, make land their terrain and with a bite cause pain
Others build homes in my yard and without regard all my work retard

An army surrounds their mounds, where their society abounds
Outside their door they wage war on those not part of their corps
When involved in a fight, might makes right
Without a pause they enforce their laws with gaping jaws

They have a queen, an egg laying machine, hiding underground unseen
Mushrooms farm, have guards for alarm, and aphids charm
These they ranch, heard on a branch, latter take their milk by tranche
They\'ll eat anything it\'s true, have a sweet tooth too, aren\'t they like me and you
